Our Commitment to Personal Data Protection: Informed Individuals and Protected Data<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

The Management\/Board of the GOVERNING BODY OF ASSOCIATION GAIA-X SPAIN (hereinafter, the data controller), assumes the highest responsibility and commitment to establishing, implementing, and maintaining this Data Protection Policy, ensuring continuous improvement by the data controller to achieve excellence in relation to compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016\/679, the European Parliament and Council, dated April 27, 2016, regarding the protection of individuals’ personal data and its free movement, and repealing Directive 95\/46\/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (DOUE L 119\/1, 04-05-2016), as well as the Spanish personal data protection legislation (Organic Law, sector-specific regulations, and development rules).<\/p>\n\n

The Data Protection Policy of ASSOCIATION GAIA-X SPAIN rests on the principle of proactive responsibility, according to which the data controller is responsible for complying with the regulatory and jurisprudential framework that governs this Policy, and is capable of demonstrating compliance to the relevant control authorities.<\/p>\n\n

In this regard, the data controller will be guided by the following principles, which should serve as the basis for all personnel involved in the handling of personal data:<\/p>\n\n

  1. Protection of Data by Design: The data controller will apply technical and organizational measures, both at the moment of data collection and during processing, to effectively apply data protection principles, such as data minimization and integrating necessary safeguards in the processing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Protection of Data by Default: The data controller will apply the appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure that, by default, only data necessary for specific processing purposes is processed for each objective.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Protection of Data throughout the Information Lifecycle: The measures taken should ensure the protection of personal data during the complete data lifecycle.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Lawfulness, fairness, and transparency: Personal data will be processed lawfully, fairly, and transparently in relation to the data subject.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Purpose limitation: Personal data will be collected for specific, legitimate, and explicit purposes and will not be further processed in a way that is incompatible with these purposes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Data minimization: Personal data will be adequate, relevant, and limited to what is necessary in relation to the purposes for which they are processed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Accuracy: Personal data will be accurate and, where necessary, kept up to date; all reasonable measures will be taken to ensure that inaccurate data is erased or rectified without delay.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. Storage limitation: Personal data will be kept in a form that allows identification of data subjects for no longer than necessary for the purposes of processing the personal data.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  9. Integrity and confidentiality: Personal data will be processed in such a way that appropriate security is ensured, including protection against unlawful processing and accidental loss, destruction, or damage, through the application of appropriate technical and organizational measures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  10. Information and training: One of the key aspects of guaranteeing personal data protection is the training and information provided to personnel involved in data processing. Throughout the data lifecycle, staff with access to the data will be appropriately trained and informed about their obligations concerning compliance with data protection laws. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n

    The Data Protection Policy of GAIA-X SPAIN is communicated to all personnel responsible for processing and made available to all interested parties.<\/p>\n\n

    Consequently, this Data Protection Policy involves all personnel responsible for processing, who must know and assume it, considering it their own. Each responsible member must apply it and verify the applicable data protection standards in their activities, as well as identify and provide improvement opportunities that they consider appropriate to ensure compliance with it.<\/p>\n\n

    This Policy will be reviewed by the Board of Directors of GAIA-X SPAIN as many times as necessary to ensure, at all times, compliance with current personal data protection regulations.<\/p>\n\n
